A few weeks ago I did a blog giveaway, getting into the Christmas spirit by giving away a festive vintage jumper! Kate from 'Schwurlie' won because I find her blog so inspirational and she has fantastic style!

Q&A

1. How would you describe your style?

"Well, it can change quite a lot on a daily basis, and I like a lot of different things. Generally I always look quite preppy and 60s inspired. I like things that are easy to wear and I also wear a lot of black and gold so I’m not sure! My default outfit is a collared shirt, sweater and pencil skirt - that sounds very basic, but that’s my style!"

2. Where do you take most of your inspiration from when it comes to the way you dress?

 

"From people I see out and about mostly. I’m lucky to have spent the past couple of years in Brighton where I’d say it was pretty easy to find fashion inspiration! Otherwise I really love 60s fashion. I’m going through a massive 60s phase!"

3. Where do you generally like to shop?

 

"Pretentious as it sounds, I mainly buy vintage and second hand. So... charity shops and vintage stores, (there are only two in Durham, but one of them, Ding Dong Vintage, is pretty good), but mostly I just buy things from Etsy! Etsy is the best website ever for finding specific things you want without being restricted to what is ‘in’ or otherwise basic enough to be sold new in stores. I also have quite a lot of things from Uniqlo and Topshop!"

4. What made you start your blog?

 

"I’m not sure, I guess I was already ‘on’ the internet haha and a blog seemed like a good place to post tutorials!"

5. What is your blog about?

 

"Well it used to be about tutorials but I haven’t posted one in such a long time. I suppose it would be more accurate to say that it was just a personal blog now. I post photos I’ve taken and outfits I’ve worn / generally ramble on about my life."

6. Do you have any fashion or blogging advice for any FYS readers?

 

"Not sure I’m the best person to give advice – I’m awful at blogging to be honest! Write in your own style, don’t try to be the same as every other successful / popular blogger and don’t take yourself or your blog too seriously."
