6 DAYS: Elfin Photoshoot

Today my Mum and I took my ten year old sister out onto cold Dartmoor, bless her little cotton socks, and I took photos of her as part of my final major project. Working with children is even harder than I thought it would be - she got fed up of trying on clothes, (something I love to do!!!), and wasn't really used to being in front of the camera so it must have felt a bit alien to her! She warmed up after a while though and we ended up having lots of fun! 

As my inspiration was gathered from fairies and pixies, I photoshopped an elf style ear onto her for the first frame, just to see how it would look and I think it looks so adorable! I wish that I had elf ears!

There was a really magical moment when light was breaking through the branches of the trees and I managed to capture the rays which were creating a really soft, dreamlike effect!

Tomorrow if the weather is kind I'm going to have a go at photographing my little brother, (I say little - he's 15), so that will be interesting! Again, I want to get him looking pixie-like and natural....
