MY CHRISTMAS

Ah, I do love Christmas and today I'm feeling a bit sad that it's all over until next year - it's also scary that by next Christmas I will have graduated and I have no idea where I'll even be living or what I'll be doing! All of these worries aside, I had an excellent day yesterday and received many lovely presents! I thought I'd share my favorites with you :)

Glitter brogues from Topshop (wanted these for ages!)

Vintage jacket (found in a charity shop by Mum just two days before Christmas!

 Some beautiful brouches

My biggest surprise of the day was undoubtedly my stackers jewellery boxes! I told Mum that I may buy myself some after the New Year as recently I'm constantly loosing my jewellery, this was just before Christmas and so I assumed it was way too late to add it to my list. Being the wonderful mother that she is though, she last minute went and bought me two to start me off! If you haven't heard of them before then basically they're a way to create your own jewellery storage system by stacking different compartments which you can buy separately and in different colors. This means that you can make it very personal depending on your own jewellery storage needs! Have a look for yourself HERE, or visit John Lewis as I know they sell them.

I was so surprised when I opened them and I cannot wait to get home and rearrange all of my jewellery into them tidily! Then I can just keep adding more compartments as and when I need them^_^

I came across this nail varnish when flicking through Elle...or Vogue...I don't remember but anyway it was £16 which I think is very expensive for nail varnish as I don't normally splash out on that sort of thing, but I text my Mum with the brand and colour any way and then totally forgot that I'd even told her about it. I was therefore very surprised when I opened my present from my Auntie and found this little beauty! I'm yet to try it out properly yet but when I do I'll show you the results and let you know if it was worth £16 ;)

WHAT I WORE

Obviously I wore my new playsuit from my Mum and Dad! It's so lovely, it's just such a shame that it's a little bit too big:( Mum got a size 10 because I have a bottom that sometimes doesn't like to fit into size 8s but on this occasion a size 8 definitely would have been more practical. Stupid sizing, I swear they just make it up as they go along! Mum and I looked online for a size 8 to see if we could exchange it but it's sold out so I'm keeping the 10 which isn't the end of the world because I can always wear it with a belt and the shorts are simply divine!

I love the little bow and button detail on the navy polkadot top.

I was also lucky enough to receive these beautiful glittery brogues which I've had my eye on for so long now. I first saw them being worn by a woman on a bus in London, though her glitter was blue...they were probably D&G or something...but anyway they're lovely. Would it be wrong to just have them on display and never wear them in case they get ruined!?

My little sister gave me this cute little ring and also a similar broach!

Later on in the afternoon we had to go out to my Grandparents and so I shoved on a comfortable vintage jumper and a pair of heels. I absolutely love how this playsuit looks when worn as just shorts...does anyone else find that playsuit shorts fit better than normal shorts? Why is this!?

  Playsuit: Topshop
Jumper: Vintage, Beatnik Emporium
tights: Primark
Socks: Primark
Boots: New Look

I hope everyone else had an excellent Christmas day, what were you favourite presents? I'm going to spend today chilling out, eating, reading and playing board games.

  2. Lucky lucky you! Those shoes are fantastic. I wish we had Topshop here. I checked online but they don't seem to have that style available, so I shall just admire from afar! Everything you received is lovely.
