NOT ON THE HIGH STREET DOT COM HAUL

When I was recently asked to write about some products for notonthehighstreet.com I jumped at the opportunity. Having previously shopped with them before, I was already aware of the vast variety of wonders they have to offer, from jewellery to quirky homeware, notonthehighstreet is the perfect place to look for gifts for friends, or simply search for beautiful bits and bobs for yourself. I selected a random haul of goodies to review consisting of a battery powered bunny lamp, which I've named Sally-Anne and love dearly, some washi tape, and a cute pack of funky notebooks!

I decided to keep two of the notebooks for myself then I gave one to Matt, telling him to jot down any future shoot ideas, and the other to my friend Sarah who likes to write poetry. I asked them to use the books for these things specifically in the hope that they'd find it easier to collect their thoughts... too many of my creative ideas get lost in old notebooks scrawled alongside to do lists and other nonsense. Tidy notebook, tidy mind! I think I will use one of mine for shoot ideas of my own, then fill the other with blog related gibberish!

As for the washi tape, I plan to decorate my life with it! It's so fun and useful for scrapbooking, framing photographs and just generally adding colour to anything and everything... I've already used it to stick some polaroids to my bedroom wall and also decorated my Mac keyboard with it!

I actually got these snaps printed with a cool little app called Printic, which allows you to print images straight from your smartphone or any of your social media platforms - it also enables you to add messages to your photos and send them directly to your friends and family! What better way to brighten up someone's day than with happy memories in polaroid form?
