When I look at her photographs I fall in love.

Only recently did I discover the work of Jolijn Snijders, a female fashion photographer who is based in Amsterdam and Paris. She is also the founder and creative director of the edgy on-line fashion magazine, ‘Ilovefake’. Although the idea of being able to 'download' magazines rather than buy them seems exciting and possibly the way forward, I personally wish that 'Ilovefake' was a printed publication because it would look truly beautiful when printed.

Jolijn mostly tends to work with young, androgynous models with alternative style and attitude. They look pale against the white backdrops and this is emphasized by the harsh studio lighting, which makes their skin look 'even more' perfect. Her photographs tell stories about love, hate and passion and hold a simplicity which proves that 'less' can be 'more'.
