When deciding to do androgynous there are many different ways to do so - you don't HAVE to dress head to toe in boyish clothing, (although that does look damn good). If you're a bit nervous about the statement trend and are worried about looking like a boy then try choosing just one, or maybe two key pieces to make your look more masculine - in a good way!
Here I've chosen a slouchy Teddy boy style jacket and a rather extravagant bow tie to dress down my look to an androgynous level. The blouse and boots however, are still feminine. Alternatively and more obviously, you could always pair some boyish brogues or 50's style creepers or winkles pickers, (too cool), with a pretty dress.
