THE TEEN VOGUE HANDBOOK: An Insider's Guide to Careers in Fashion

I've had this book for a while now and completely forgot to share it with you. I also bought another called Fashion & Textiles: The Essential Careers Guide, but I haven't gotten around to reading that yet.

When I bought this book I thought it may shed some light on how to get your foot in the door or feature some sort of list of possible areas to work in in the fashion industry, however it was more of a little inside into the world of Teen Vogue. It had lots of nice imagery, interviews with important fashion editors and stylists, profiles on designers and some tips on how to make it in the industry - (basically put yourself out there and become a fashion bitch!)

I recommend this book if you fancy a little read up on some key people in the fashion industry, but not so much as a 'guide'...also as it's based on Teen Vogue it's VERY New York focused and I would be interested to see how different a similar book UK based would be! (A friend who used to work in the industry told me that London is friendlier than New York...interesting)

  4. hmmm… You really made me think about that last statement. I hope NYC is not going to be too bad since I’m thinking of moving there within the next year.
