With winter fast approaching, I've found myself daydreaming about oversized coats, wooly scarves, chunky boots, and party dresses! Autumn and winter are my favourite times to dress; I love the darker colours and bigger silhouettes, and I feel like the colder seasons allow you to get a little more glamorous on your evenings out to.... with winter come sequins!
AX Paris were kind enough to send me this sparkly little delight - be sure to head over to their website to check out their party dress selection for yourself! I'm always a little dubious of sequined garments as most are badly made and start looking tatty really quickly, but I love the shape of this dress, the skirt is really voluminous and swishes when I walk.... maybe I'll wear it nearer to Christmas, it's very festive!
Dress: AX Paris (BUY ME)
Socks: Primark
Shoes: Kurt Geiger
Due to the dark evenings and bad weather, I'm afraid the quality of my images may decrease a little throughout winter, as I'm having to use my smaller camera and photograph my outfits inside with very poor lighting. I hope you don't mind, I will try to get nice, natural, outdoorsy shots for you when I can! (Oh, I know you've all seen my new Kurt Geiger shoes but I couldn't help but post another close up of them!)

A quick update, my new job is going very well. I get given lots of interesting tasks to do on a daily basis like photo researching and cutting and sticking....amongst many other things! It's so fascinating seeing all of the work that goes into the final catalog - I'm learning so much and I feel so privileged to be working at Boden, they're such a lovely company!
I can finally see a bright future ahead of me now; I still have quite a few personal traits to work on, my lack of ability to communicate like a normal human being around new people for example, and my tendency to forget peoples names literally fives seconds after they've said it, but I see this job as my first step towards bigger, better things, and a HUGE opportunity.... exciting huh!? Despite all of these positives in my life right now however, I do wish that the trains and underground weren't so busy in the mornings!
:O oh my goodness that dress is beautiful!! I love this time of year so much, I need some more scarves and chunky knits in my wardrobe though! It's my 21st in November and I need a special dress for it, will deffo be checking out this website :)

ReplyDeleteYour dress is soooo lovely! I definitely prefer autumn and winter in terms of colours, I'm just not one to really wear bright colours - I'd much rather wear their more muted friends ;) glad to hear the job's going well! x

I'm not really a fan of sequins either on me they usually look tacky as but the shape of this dress and styling it with socks and the sequin shoes really works!
