VELVET BODICE PROM DRESS FROM MOTEL

Tis the season to look lovely, which means it's that time of the year again when I look in my wardrobe and think, "shit". I may complain on a daily basis that "I have nothing to wear", but seriously, my lack of occasion-wear is just embarrassing!

Luckily I was invited to attend Motel's Christmas party where they were giving away dresses to the first fifty bloggers who walked through the door.... and I just so happened to be one of those fifty! I chose this delicious velvet, lace and net mix - a modern, and slightly gothic, take on the LBD! (The skirt is a bit see through which is disappointing, but it's nothing a little black skirt or pair of cycling shorts can't fix.)

I'll definitely be wearing this to one of my upcoming Christmas events; I love the velvet bodice, and the net skirt gives loads of volume, which is not only flattering for my figure but also makes me feel like I've just stepped off of the set of a Tim Burton movie, which is my favourite kind of feeling.
