SPECKLE ROLL SLEEVE MINI DRESS

Yesterday I wore my new Topshop dress to work. It's a little shorter than I would normally wear during the day, particularly because I often have to reach up and hold onto the hand rail on the underground which lifts my hemline even higher, but I just threw a big coat over the top and that was that. I also wore a PU leather collar blouse underneath because, well, it's cold outside, and I love collars.  

In summer, when hopefully we'll have some warmer weather here in rainy old England, I want to dress in a more minimalistic way; think dresses and ankle socks, high waisted shorts and band tees... I find it really difficult to throw together an outfit at seven in the morning before work, so I'd love to be able to just put on one or two pieces before rushing out the door, screw any minor details or decorative accessories.

Looking forward then, simplicity is essential to my summer wardrobe, starting with this speckle roll sleeve mini dress. I can't wait to wear it in the sunshine with a pair of socks and brogues. Here, have a photo of me sat on a funky chair I painted for Boden's last press day!
