THAT BOY THAT GIRL

Last weekend a friend and I headed East for the afternoon. First we went to Columbia road flower market, which was beautiful in the sunshine, and then we had a look around the Catlin Art Prize exhibition before going to Brick Lane for food! Whilst down Brick Lane we popped into the vintage store Rokit, where we found this sweet short sleeved shirt - it reminds me of candy!

It was actually Luke who pointed it out first, and at just £12 I had to have it! I thought it would look great styled in a baggy, boyish way, (like in these images), but that it would also work worn with a high waisted skirt and party shoes for a night out! I also picked up a black, leather bomber jacket for just £10.

If you haven't guessed already, I'm a massive fan of androgynous dressing, and I love the idea of unisex clothing. You'll often find me in baggy shirts and jumpers, a boyish beanie or brogues - all of which are stereotypically deemed menswear, but look so good on women! (I'm a little obsessed with men's shoes, which I find so much more inspiring than the selection that we have). To demonstrate the beauty of unisex style, here Luke and I have both worn the same shirt in a similar way, styled loosely with dark, slim jeans, and flat shoes, (though obviously Luke looks way cooler with his fabulous Nike trainers). 

By the way, I spent some of yesterday trawling the internet for discount shoe shops, and finally purchased a pair of Nikes! I bought them from ASOS in the end, along with a men's backpack and a dress. I can't wait to show you all my new stuff!
