ARE WE THERE YET?

Has anyone else noticed the darker evenings and recent drop in temperature after sunset? With a new season now nipping at our ankles, I've started daydreaming about my perfect Autumn wardrobe. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to miss the vitamin D and beautiful sunny days spent in the park with friends, but autumn holds so many positive connotations that I simply can't help but get a little excited! Birthdays, hot chocolates, watching films all afternoon, cuddles, oversized coats and the build up to Christmas...

One of my favourite things about the autumn season is actually the decrease in colour on the high street. Call me Scrooge but I'm not a "colour kinda gal", I much prefer the richer tones of autumn and the contrast of darker shades against my skin. I find summer shopping rather uninspiring, but in Autumn I literally have to avoid Oxford Circus like the plague for fear of falling in love with every item in Topshop!

The truth is that I can't wait to be back in black! I've been making myself wear colour throughout the whole of summer, I even added some yellow into the equation, *shivers*, so for the sake of what's to come, here's a mainly black outfit - this is the kind of thing that I'd wear on a night out in Autumn. I love that you can see a cheeky bit of bra underneath the sheer panel of the top! Oh, and please lets all stare in admiration at my newly purchased Dr Martens! I love that they don't have the classic, yellow stitching, I think it makes them a little more modern, feminine and well, cooler!
