On Thursday I had some friends from Plymouth visiting; we spent the morning in Camden where we went to 'The Diner' and ate far too much food, I had a blue cheese burger. We then headed into central for a wander, I wanted to take them to see the Rain Room but when we got to the Barbican center there was a four hour queue so we went to the Bruce Nauman exhibiton, Mindfuck, instead.
I liked the interactivity of this piece, you basically squeeze into an enclosed space, a makeshift room I guess, which has green fluorescent lighting. At first everything looks green, but as your eyes adjust it starts to change and it's, well, a bit of a mindfuck really.
My boyfriend and I actually broke up last week, so seeing old friends and eating lots of yummy food was exactly what I needed. It's really, really sad, but we just weren't compatible and there's only so much work you can put into something without seeing any results, right?
The first photo is incredible.

Aw well hope everything settles down soon and you get into a new normal :( yes if something doesn't work, then how much effort can you put in until you say no more. That room looks awesome xx
ReplyDeleteAhh looks like you had so much fun! I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out, but friendship is the healer of all tough times :) xxx

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about you and your boyfriend, but you're quite right. If it's not right, there's no point flogging a dead horse. xxx
So sorry to hear about your breakup! I went through the same thing a month ago. It's one of the worst things ever, but it looks like you're doing the right kinda thing to feel better!
ReplyDeleteVery curious about this green room. Hope it's on for a while because if it is, I'm totally going to check it out haha

There's not much else to be done when it just doesn't fit. I hope you're doing ok :) It's worth it in the end.

So sorry to hear about the breakup, but I'm sure you'll find happiness soon :)
ReplyDeleteThe green room looks intriguing. Does the colour change once your eyes adjust? I'm guessing, they go back to their natural colours?
Lastly, anything with cheese is love. Cheeseburgers, cheesecakes, cheesesticks. Yum~
Sorry about your breakup... Just remember everything happens for the best and keep your head up girl! Lovely blog you have here. I'm your newest follower :) Would you mind checking out our blog & following back via GFC and Bloglovin'? Looking forward to your next post! xx

The way I see it, its best to end things now and things to be a bit crap for a while than spend the rest of your life stuck with the wrong person..
ReplyDeleteIt all works out in the end.. plus your really pretty so im sure you'll have loads of offers to find the right one when you want to!
