FRIENDS, MINDF%$£S & HEART-BREAK.

On Thursday I had some friends from Plymouth visiting; we spent the morning in Camden where we went to 'The Diner' and ate far too much food, I had a blue cheese burger. We then headed into central for a wander, I wanted to take them to see the Rain Room but when we got to the Barbican center there was a four hour queue so we went to the Bruce Nauman exhibiton, Mindfuck, instead.

On entering the Hauser & Wirth gallery, which is hidden away down Savile Row, we were first faced with a huge neon, flashing sign, (as shown above). It was definitely my favourite piece from the exhibition, although the green room was super cool to, but I now really want a giant neon sign to cover a wall in my living room - maybe one day!  

I liked the interactivity of this piece, you basically squeeze into an enclosed space, a makeshift room I guess, which has green fluorescent lighting. At first everything looks green, but as your eyes adjust it starts to change and it's, well, a bit of a mindfuck really. 

My boyfriend and I actually broke up last week, so seeing old friends and eating lots of yummy food was exactly what I needed. It's really, really sad, but we just weren't compatible and there's only so much work you can put into something without seeing any results, right?
